JD Sanders in the desert sun

It seems I end up down in Phoenix, Arizona at least once a year, and its usually some time in November. This guy always greets me with an amazing smile and one of the biggest hugs anyone could ever hope for when getting off the airplane.

On this trip I got lucky enough to spend some quality time with JD Sanders (Instagram - @official_baby_zeus) and somehow managed to talk him into getting in front of my camera twice! I met JD back in May of 2015 not knowing he’d come to be my most photographed person, and one of my best friends.  He was a little… well… A LOT nervous when we first met, but once the ice broke, we had fun getting to know each other and make some great images. 

He’s managed to step in front of my camera more times than I can remember every year since then - be it Fitness photo shoots at various gyms, Physique shoots in different locations (and states), and even a nice couples shoot on this last visit.

During this last trip he took me out to Papago Park in Phoenix, Arizona,
just south of Scottsdale, and introduced me to his friend Dom. The
three of us had a great time exploring the park around sunset and

JD has grown into such an amazing man over the 5 years I’ve had the honor to know him - He’s grown not only his physique size, definition & conditioning, but also his love for the sport of competing on stage as a Men’s Fitness Competitor, his drive and passion for helping others, and his ability to be an example to others in his journey to help others understand the challenges (good and bad) of mental health through is own life experiences. I’ve seen him at his best, and his worst, and he’s seen me at mine - I wouldn’t trade this man for anything in the world. It’s been an amazing journey with him, and I couldn’t have ever asked for a better friend and a brother. Love ya JD!
